The staff and residents at Summit Pointe are dedicated to giving back to the community throughout the year. We volunteer our time and resources to a variety of good causes and encourage families of residents to join us. Our recent charitable efforts include:

  • Alzheimer’s Memory Walk Fundraising
  • Distributing seeds to flood victims
  • Summer reading program
  • Silent auction for a local church
  • Adopt a family at Thanksgiving and Christmas
  • Blood draw
  • Donating to food banks
  • Support the troops by sending letters and supplies

Summit Pointe supports children in the community in a variety of ways including:

  • Donation and collection of school supplies for children
  • FLY kids summer food program
  • Take children to camp
  • Summer reading program
  • Support Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts

Volunteer with us

Whether you’re 13 or 93 years old, there are many ways you can share your time and talents with residents of the Summit Pointe housing, assisted living, and healthcare community. Your involvement will help residents maintain connections with the neighboring community and broaden inter-generational understanding. Also, you’ll have the opportunity to benefit from the wisdom of Summit Pointe’s residents as well as the satisfaction of knowing that you have contributed to fulfilling their wants, needs and dreams. There are many opportunities for you to participate.

  • Activities Assistant—help bring fun by assisting with activities including games, cooking, happy hour, bingo, and more
  • Arts and Crafts—inspire, motivate, and assist with ongoing projects
  • Outings—accompany groups on fun outings in the community
  • Pet Visits—put a smile on residents’ faces when you bring your furry friend for a visit
  • Specialty Parties—put your party hat on and help with event set-up, serve refreshments, and mingle
  • Music—share your musical talents
  • Resident Companion—make a new friend in a Summit Pointe resident
  • Church Escort—escort residents to the area worship services
  • And many more

  • Resident Companion—make a new friend in a Walker Methodist Health Center resident
  • Church Escort—escort residents to the Walker Chapel for Worship Service
